TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR RHODES QUALITY #FORTHELOVEOFSUMMER CAMPAIGN COMPETITION

    These conditions (hereinafter the “Terms and Conditions”) apply to the promotional activity organized by Rhodes Food Group Holdings (Pty) Ltd (Registration No: 2012/074402/07 (“Organizer”).

  1. By participating in this Competition and/or promotion (“the Competition”) you agree to these Competition rules (“Rules”) and to our Privacy Policy and agree to abide by both. Any person failing to comply with these Rules will not be entitled to participate in this Competition or will be disqualified from the Competition.   2. The Competition is in no way sponsored or endorsed by any party other than the Organizer.
  3. The Competition is open to SA residents aged 18 or above only and all participants may be required to show valid identity documents as proof thereof. All entrants must be real persons.
  4. The #ForTheLoveOfSummer campaign will be divided into 4 Competitions based on the below themes:
      Padkos
      Baking
      Smoothies
      Braai
  5. The campaign shall commence on 13 November and conclude on 8 February 2019 with the below dates applying to The Competition:
    • Padkos: The Competition for the Padkos theme shall commence on 16 November 2018. No entries received after midnight on 21 November 2018 will be considered for the draw. The winner will be announced on 23 November 2018.
      Baking: The Competition for the Baking theme shall commence on 7 December 2018. No entries received after midnight on 19 December 2018 will be considered for the draw. The winner will be announced on 21 December 2018.
      Smoothie: The Competition for the smoothie theme shall commence on 4 January 2019. No entries received after midnight on 16 January 2019 will be considered for the draw. The winner will be announced on 18 January 2019.s
      Braai: The Competition for the braai theme shall commence on 25 January 2019. No entries received after midnight on 06 February 2019 will be considered for the draw. The winner will be announced on 08 February 2019.
  6. The Competition duration and campaign dates may be extended or curtailed at any point at the discretion of the Promoter.
  7. Participants in The Competition stand a chance to win the following prizes per theme:
      Travel:

    • 1st Prize: Rhodes Quality Family Picnic Basket with 2 x FujiFilm Instax Mini 9 Cameras
    • 2nd Prize: Campmaster 45L Travel Cooler Box
    • 3rd Prize: Rhodes Quality Product Hamper
      Baking:

    • 1st Prize: Bosch Kitchen Machine
    • 2nd Prize: Rhodes Quality Baking Kit
    • 3rd Prize: Rhodes Quality Product Hamper
      Smoothies:

    • 1st Prize: Nutribullet 900W Blender Pro with 700ml Rhodes Quality Cocktail Shaker
    • 2nd Prize: Rhodes Quality Stainless Steel Cocktail Set
    • 3rd Prize: Rhodes Quality Product Hamper
      Braai:

    • 1st Prize: Weber Compact Charcoal Kettle Grill with 3 Piece Steel Braai Set
    • 2nd Prize: 18 Piece Steel Braai Set
    • 3rd Prize: Rhodes Quality Product Hamper
  8. The Organizers reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to substitute the prize with any other prize of comparable or greater commercial value for whatever reason.
  9. To enter The Competition, consumers are asked to submit their Rhodes Quality recipe on www.rhodesquality.com/competitions. Consumers are required to:
    • Submit a photograph of their own recipe that they have cooked/baked created themselves. The Competition requires that a dish should be well presented with an eye-catching and well taken original photo that has not been taken from another source.
    • Submit the full recipe methodology and ingredient list. This recipe has to include at least one Rhodes Quality product.
    • Ensure that the recipe, within reason, correlates with the theme under which is falls under. It will be up to The Organizers discretion whether this requirement has not been met.
  10. Participants have unlimited entries per Competition Theme but may only enter each unique recipe once. Any repetitions of an identical recipe will be rendered null and void after the first valid submission.
  11. A participant may not win more than one prize within a particular theme. The Promoter reserves the right to withhold prizes from any such participant and to reclaim any such prize if a breach of this rule is subsequently discovered.
  12. The winner will be select via a random draw on the above stipulated dates using all the entries that were submitted during the period in which the particular theme’s competition was open for entries. Three names will be drawn. The first name will win first prize, the second name will win second prize, the third name will win third prize.
  13. All prize winners will be subject to a verification process. To ratify the competition winner and ensure that the entry requirements are met, the Organizers will:
    • Ensure that recipe images are the entrant’s own as far a reasonably can be determined via a search engine review.
    • Review the recipe to ensure that a Rhodes Quality product has been used.
    • Determine whether there is any reason for the recipe not to be accepted as meeting the theme criteria
  14. The Promoter reserves the right to carry out reasonable due diligence to confirm eligibility and help ensure that the use of any such person in advertising or publicity for the Promotion will not bring the Promoter or any of the Promoter’s brands into public disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule or reflect unfavourably on the Promotion as determined by Promoter in its sole discretion.
  15. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize and/or disqualify any participant/winner that may bring the Promoter brands into disrepute.
  16. The Promoters may refuse to award the prize to a participant if there is suspicion of any irregularities or fraudulent activities.
  17. Should there be any discrepancies with any drawn winner as per clause 13-16, a new recipe will be drawn at random and replace the invalid entry. This process will continue until we have 3 valid winners for each theme.
  18. All Participants participate entirely at their own risk. By reading and accepting these Rules, the Participants give consent to these risks and hereby indemnify and hold harmless the Organizer, their directors, employees and agents of any and all liability pertaining to any damage, cost, injuries and losses of whatever nature sustained as a result of their participation in the Competition and related events and activities.
  19. No persons who are directors, members, partners, employees, or agents of, or consultants to, the Organizer and/or its parent or affiliated companies, their marketing service provider(s) utilized in connection with the Competition, any supplier of goods or services in connection with the Competition, any other person who directly or indirectly controls, or is controlled by, them, or any spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister, business partner or associate of any of such persons, may enter the Competition.
  20. Incomplete, late, or otherwise faulty entries will not be accepted.
  21. Once a winner is chosen and If any winner cannot be reached after 6 attempts have been made during business hours within a period of 72 hours for any reason whatsoever, the prize will be forfeited and another winner will be selected in accordance with the competition rules
  22. All winners will need to identify themselves with a bar coded South African ID book. The drawn winners, once contacted, will have 5 working days to forward all the required documentation to the organizers. If the winner does not provide the documents within the prescribed time, then he/she will forfeit the prize and another winner will be selected in accordance with the competition rules.
  23. The prize is not transferable, is non-refundable, non-exchangeable. To the maximum extent permitted in law, the Organizer excludes liability for any defects in the prize.
  24. The Organizer’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  25. The Organizer will not be held responsible for any direct, incidental or consequential loss or damage that any winner could incur in relation to any information which the organizer provides to the prize sponsor in relation to the competition.
  26. Where an entrant or prize winner has been found to be in breach of any of the terms and conditions of the Competition, we may enforce our right to disqualify that person and require the return or reimbursement to us of any prize even where a prize has been awarded and/or actually provided to the entrant or prize winner in question.
  27. The Organizer reserves the right to terminate or temporarily suspend the Competition in the event of technical or other difficulties that might compromise its integrity.
  28. The Organizer and their agents accept no responsibility for difficulties experienced in submitting an entry to the Competition.
  29. If a participant has won a prize from the Organizer in the last two months, he/she is ineligible to win another prize until the two-month period is completed.
  30. To the maximum extent permitted in law, the Organizer and its directors, officers, managers, employees and agents, shall not incur any liability to any person for any injury, claim, loss or damage of any nature whatsoever, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, as a result of entering into, or arising from any cause whatsoever or howsoever arising from their participation in, the Competition or the use of any prize won thereunder (any such prizes being utilized at the own risk of any winner thereof).
  31. In the event of a dispute in respect of any aspect of the Competition, the Organizer’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  32. The Organizers, their directors, employees, agents and distributors, are not responsible for any misrepresentation (whether written or verbal) in respect of any prize nor in respect of any warranties or undertakings given by any person other than the Organizers themselves.
  33. By entering the Competition, you authorize the Organizer to collect, store and use (not share unless specified otherwise) personal information of Participants for marketing, communication or statistical purposes. You are entitled to decline any marketing communication by emailing [competitions@rhodesquality.com]. Any personal data submitted by you will be used solely in accordance with current South African data protection legislation and the Organizer’s privacy policy. The Organizer may share your personal information with a co-sponsor/partner of the Competition as specified on the Competition entry form. The winner or participants may be requested to take part in publicity campaigns for broadcast or publishing purposes. Winners or participants shall at all times be entitled to decline the above request. Winners or participants that take part in any publicity will not be entitled to any payment or other remuneration for such publicity or otherwise. All publicity and other materials will be the sole property of the Organizer.
  34. The Organizer does not sell or rent personal information about individual members to third parties. We may, however, disclose personal information in response to a specific request by a law enforcement agency, subpoena, court order, or as required by law.
  35. the Competition shall comply with, and will be subject to, any peremptory provisions of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (“CPA”) and the regulations promulgated thereunder, which are deemed to be incorporated herein (“Peremptory Provisions”). In the event of any conflict between these Rules and the Peremptory Provisions, the latter shall prevail.   36. Any provision of these Rules or the Competition which is held to be invalid or unenforceable shall be ineffective to the extent of such invalidity or unenforceability without invalidating or rendering unenforceable the remaining provisions thereof.
  37. The laws of the Republic of South Africa govern these Rules and participants agree to be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts
  38. When the General and/or specific Terms and Conditions differ from those determined in the Specific Terms and Conditions of any Competition and/or promotion, the specific Terms and Conditions prevail.
  39. Actual prizes may differ from those depicted in the promotional posters/ Product images are for illustrative purposes only and may differ from the actual product.
  40. These terms and conditions are subject to change without notice, from time to time in our sole discretion.
